Hospitality has always been part of our lives at Knox and is an important ministry. Started in 1962 as the Ladies Auxiliary, the Hospitality Units provide refreshments every Sunday morning after church service, allowing members and guests to gather, socialize and share their faith.

We have three units who work on a rotating two-month schedule throughout the year and would like to thank our Hospitality Unit leaders for their service

We are grateful to all members of the congregation who volunteer their time, talents and gifts supporting this weekly ministry and the many events we have been able to participate in over the years.

Here are just a few highlights from the past year:

  • We have provided lunch to support families and funeral services
  • We organize cards and gifts for shut-ins at Easter and Christmas and recognize special birthdays and anniversaries for all members of the church
  • We supported the repair of dishwashers and the replacement of new equipment and items for our kitchens
  • We decorate the sanctuary for holidays and look after flowers and memorials
  • We made donations to the church capital fund, to the camp fund for children, and to Evangel Hall

If you are interested in volunteering, please speak to a Hospitality Unit member after church or contact Carol in the office Tuesday to Friday from 9:00 am to noon at 905-878-6066, or fill in the form below.
