Join us for an afternoon tea of finger sandwiches and tea. Afterwards, enjoy an informative talk on “The History of Eaton’s Department Store” given by David Bartlett.
In the early part of the 1900’s, Eaton’s was the lifeline in rural and small towns across Canada, with the mail order catalogue known as the Homesteader’s Bible. Eaton’s was a Canadian retail empire for 130 years, closing their doors in 1999.
Guest Speaker
David Bartlett, is an avid collector of Eaton memorabilia and the history of the Eaton family. Dave’s books and various related artifacts will be on display as part of his presentation.
